Clayton is a global manufacturer of industrial steam solutions. European production and development have been based in Bornem, Belgium since 1961.
Clayton Belgium serves as the EMEA headquarters and is primarily the production center for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The global headquarters of the Clayton Group is located in California, with additional manufacturing facilities in Mexico and Europe, as well as subsidiaries in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Since 1930, Clayton's units have had everything needed to operate industrial processes efficiently, quickly, and safely. Clayton's steam boilers produce steam of the highest quality and are among the most compact steam boilers available.
Clayton's unique design with forced circulation in a tube spiral and efficient steam separator ensures quick startup and clean dry steam (approximately 99.5% pure).
Clayton offers both standard models and customized solutions. With a Clayton steam generator, you are always in safe hands. Want to know more about Clayton's steam solutions? Contact SD Teknik!
A steam generator is an efficient and attractive alternative to the classic steam boiler. Both produce hot steam used as a heating medium in both industrial and commercial contexts. Steam can achieve very high temperatures and is therefore an ideal heat carrier.
However, the very large pressurized water and steam volume of traditional steam boilers requires a boiler operator to be nearby at all times – and since the steam boiler, unlike the steam generator, cannot just be turned off at the end of the workday, it can mean that each company must have at least three authorized boiler operators.
Large steam boilers are also subject to very restrictive requirements from authorities and insurance companies regarding installation (boiler rooms with escape routes, etc.) and maintenance, which is why steam generators have become increasingly popular for smaller capacities.
Steam generators (also called water tube boilers) consist of tube spirals. The boiler water thus evaporates while flowing through the tube spirals, meaning inside the pipes. Unlike the classic steam boiler, the steam generator has a modest water and steam volume, which means it can be used advantageously for very high steam pressures – in fact, up to 200 bar.
Clayton has continuously developed its product over the last 80 years and today manufactures steam generators for both industrial and commercial use – with quick startup, high performance, and low heat loss.
